Bringing new life, light and functionality into an established heritage streetscape.
Located in the leafy Eastern Suburbs pocket of Edgecliff, this project involved the complete transformation of a classic character home – bringing new life, light and functionality into an established heritage streetscape.
Edgecliff is a suburb known for its charming period homes, elevated streets and close connection to the harbour. Hidden behind traditional façades are some of Sydney’s most thoughtfully modernised homes – and this project is a perfect example of that quiet elegance.
Inside, the home has been fully re-planned to maximise natural light and connection between spaces. A new open-plan kitchen, dining and living area flows seamlessly to the outdoor entertaining terrace, creating a generous family hub that works effortlessly for modern living. Skylights and full-height glazing invite daylight deep into the plan, while carefully selected finishes provide warmth, calm and continuity throughout.
The bathrooms are finished in soft grey stone tiles with matte black fixtures and a freestanding bath – creating a spa-like retreat. Original elements of the home are retained and respected, complementing the new joinery, clean lines and contemporary detailing.
